What is the best version lf blackjack?
The rules of the game are set by the house, so there is always a house edge. But some variations are such that they give the players a slight edge over the house, while others are more fun to play. One such variation that provides the best of both worlds is Hold’em Blackjack
As the name suggests, it is a combination of two of the most iconic gambling games, Hold’em Poker and Blackjack. Like poker, the game consists of several rounds, and forced bets, considerably increasing the prize pool.
How to play
A maximum of 6 players can play at a time. At the start of a round, all the players place ante bets. The player next to the dealer places the small blind, which is usually the double of the ante bets, and the player next to the small blind, places the big blind, which is usually double the small blind. Once the bets are placed, each player is dealt a card, face down. The first round betting starts just like poker. The players may either fold, call or raise.
The players who are still in the game receive a second card, which is face up. The minimum bet amount is usually double of the big blind. Players can either fold or stay in the game by adding chips to the pot.
Players can either hit or stand. Cards are dealt face down. Each player can draw till they are at 7 cards. Even those who are above 21 can still play the game, and the betting amount can be up to 10 times the big blind.
When all the players have bet an equal amount, the cards are placed open on the table. The best hand is when a player has 7 cards and has not gone over 21, known as 7 card Charlie. The next best hands are similar to classic blackjack. If all the players are over, the one closest to 21, wins.
