Billy Walters is widely considered to be one of the richest gamblers in history. Having started gambling at the young age of 9 years, and by the time he was 22 years old, he had already lost around $50,000.

His luck changed as he entered his 30’s, and he started a lucky streak. In 1986, he requested a $2 million freeze out game of roulette, at the Atlantic Club Casino Hotel in New Jersey, and played for 38 hours, winning $3.8 million. After that, there was no looking back for him. In the same year, he won the Super Bowl of Poker, netting in $175,000.

Along with his Syndicate, he made some huge winnings, including $400,000 from Las Vegas, and $610,000 from Atlantic City.

Sports betting

Along with gambling, Walters was also into sports betting and was known for making huge bets, sometimes as big as $3.5 million! He won $2.2 million in 2007 by predicting a University of Southern California over the University of Michigan. According to his own claims, he could net well over $50 million a year, betting and gambling.

Today, his net worth stands at around $200 million.
